MY STORY
From One Pair
to a Purpose.
I’m DJ, born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, New York. Growing up, getting a new pair of sneakers wasn’t always an option. When my sneakers got dirty, worn, or damaged, I learned how to clean, repair, and restore them myself.
What started in 2014 as a personal necessity quickly turned into a passion. I fell in love with the process — breathing new life into something that others might throw away. Over time, that passion became RestoredByDJ, a way to share my craft with a wider community and help people keep the pairs that mean something to them.
Today, Atunṣe represents more than just sneaker restoration. It’s about care, culture, and giving sneakers a second life.
I began cleaning and restoring my own sneakers out of necessity.
